Wabona gets into 88mph incubator

88mph was a Cape Town-based venture fund that chose ten start-ups to participate in a three month accelerator program. In addition to a cash injection and the prospect of future investment, the start-ups would get access to other companies and various mentors including a network of entrepreneurs. 88mph received over 400 applications and narrowed them down to ten. Wabona was selected, received investment and took part in the accelerator program. It was a whirlwind 3 months with exposure and much growth for the business which ultimately resulted in post program investment.

What I learnt:

-Pitching and fund raising

-Product management and customer acquisition frameworks

-Customer growth strategies
